This journal-entry type audio diary tells the story of host Joseph von Benedikt's recent solo, DIY backcountry caribou hunt in Alaska. It was a drop-camp hunt with Tok Air Service in extremely rugged country. Bad weather and tough conditions kept things interesting. Part 1 details the hunt and aftermath up through the successful conclusion of packing meat to the airstrip. After that, things got rough. Be sure and tune in for Part 2, which will air soon. Enjoy!
